Auto Care Free - Car Maintenance Service and Gas Log App Reviews

Ive been using this app for several months and has helped me keep track of all my gas expenses and check my engine is working as it should, very recommended.

If you want to transfer or back up your data you have to upgrade for $5. Im deleting the app.

The app allows me to track mileage and expense as well maintenance. Doesnt get easier than that

Several basic fuel fill entries have now dropped information like odometer reading. I attempted to backfill another entry at a later date, as I didnt have my iPad at the time of the fill up, and apparently the app couldnt handle this. It kept fouling up the actual and trip odometer readings. Another problem is the ease of entering data- too clumsy.

Will not allow me to enter beginning mileage. "Next service" entries appear same as "last service" entries.

I use it to keep track of my maintenance - oil changes, tire rotation. Helps me stay on schedule.

Ive been using this for my 2007 FXSTC, keeping track of fluid and tire changes.

While I love my truck, Ive never been as rigorous as Id like to with its maintenance. Especially with oil changes. Auto Care not only allows me to keep a well organized maintenance schedule, it also helps me track fuel consumption and other car-related expenses. Maybe Ill even upgrade to the paid version, who knows.

The app is well laid out and reasonably easy to use, but the calculations for mpg are wrong.

It does Not communicate through the cloud to the mobile "on the go" Iphone to my IPad

Too much input needed. A bit more automation would be better. Overall is ok.

I wish there was a way to take a photo of the receipts from the gas and the car repairs and that it would enter all the information into the correct spots for us so that we dont have to enter in those things all the time.

Like the features. Would like a notes section.

I like the app and got it cause I bought a new truck. Had trouble setting it up.

So I was going to buy the full version for $4.99, which is fine, but then I saw to add photos costs another .99 cents - NO THANKS! Sounds petty but Im tired of being forced to buy addons. Make an app with all functions for one price. Stop adding in app purchases to increase the price. Going to pass on this app now. These developers need to make apps that work as a whole and not make you purchase 10 different things within the app to get more functionality!

Its an ok app. Very simple and plain, few frills. It does what it claims, although one shortcoming, in my experience, is that it wont predict when service will be due. It measures actual miles based on gas fill ups (odometer) and doesnt calculate miles per month. So it only knows you need to perform maintenance once you pass the target miles. Note, I dont schedule maintenance based on time, only on mileage. Your mileage may vary...

Simple app without unwanted gimmicks. I tried couple of other auto maintenance apps before but decided to keep this for its simple UI, user friendliness etc...

Works as advertised but the interface doesnt seem slick to me. Its not very intuitive and there is no way to scan receipts. I think I will try a few of the other apps out there, might return to this one but not sure yet. Judge for yourself, its a decent app.
